Finding the Right Fit

Size matters, especially when it comes to a finding the right climbing shoe.  evolv makes a variety of climbing shoes, each one designed for a specific performance and fit.  Our specialized last addresses and foot shape, toe box, heel, and overall volume along with intended use for each model.    This allows the climber to customize his or her fit to their individual style of climbing and have a high performing, yet comfortable climbing shoe.
From here, it’s 100% personal preference on how tight you want them. Generally if you are a beginner climber, you will want to be more comfortable in your first pair of shoes. For the more advanced climber that wants a tighter, more precise fit, that decision is up to you!
Here are some tips to help you find the right shoe:

• We highly recommend that you try on and buy the shoes at one of our retail stores. When selecting your size, please keep the following key information in mind to make the best decision.
• Finding the perfect size for your evolv shoes is critical in getting the maximum return for your intended use of the shoes. In other words, you need to decide what you intend to use your shoes for before selecting the model and size. Ask yourself if you want to use it as a comfortable all-day shoe, a tight performance shoe, or snug fitting all-around shoe and then size them appropriately.
• evolv shoes are made out of vegan friendly synthetic uppers and do NOT stretch. Therefore, please keep that in mind when trying them on and selecting the right size. The shoes will quickly mold to your feet and fit like a glove, however, unlike leather shoes, they will not stretch out and get sloppy.
