Philippe was born in France. After scientific studies and a commercial pilot license, he held different management positions in France and USA.
Passionate by all mountain activities, Philippe climbed 250+ peaks including Everest (29,029ft), Kangchenjunga (28,169ft), Makalu (27,766ft) and the 7 Summits. Philippe also climbed 1,500 routes (up to 8b+) and boulders (V11), coached international climbers and opened new routes. As a runner, he finished some of the hardest races in the world and ran a total of 36,800 miles. Based in Chamonix, alpine and cross country skiing are also parts of his main winter activities.
At the end of 2013, he ran 750 miles along the Great Himalaya Trail in 30+ days – 30 high altitude Marathons in 30 days. That was just the beginning of a year of climbing and running adventures in the most challenging and amazing places on the planet: Nepal, Patagonia, Jordan, Alps, Madagascar, USA, Greece and Turkey.
