Solomon first started climbing when his father first took him to the Philadelphia Rock Gym when he was five years old. He didn’t take to it much but soon would fall in love. Now, the Philadelphia Rock Gym is his second home as he spends countless hours both climbing and coaching the competitive youth team.
Solomon loves the creativity and the problem solving of competition climbing and just as much loves his ability to teach these skills to his own youth team. Solomon has been competing in the Youth USA Climbing Series for as long as he can remember. Over the years he has accumulated over 10 podium places at Youth National Championships and several podium places at the Pan American Championships for Sport Climbing and Bouldering. During the school year Solomon struggles to manage all of his schoolwork, extracurriculars and climbing and is rarely able to climb outdoors. But during the summer he loves to go sport climbing at the Red and New River Gorges.
