Like all great alpinists Matt Walker was raised in the alpine mecca of New Jersey before settling in the heart of the Cascades in Washington. He is the co-owner of North Cascades Mountain Guides and spends his days guiding in his backyard of North Cascades National Park and leading international climbing expeditions. With first ascents in Alaska, throughout the lower 48, Patagonia, the Himalaya, and the Atlas Mountains of Morocco, Matt’s drawn to the aesthetic nature of long alpine lines and adventure in the greater ranges. He is the author of the best-selling ‘Adventure in Everything’ and lives with his family in Mazama, WA.
