Arabella Jariel fell in love with climbing at the age of seven when she started going to the climbing gym with her parents. A year later, she began competing and has participated in Bouldering, Sport and Speed ever since. She has won multiple Regional and Divisional Championships and qualified for the US Team in both Speed and Sport climbing. Her proudest competitive achievement is a Bouldering Bronze medal at the 2014 IFSC-Panamerican Youth Championships in Mexico City.
When Arabella is not competing, she is often outdoors exploring new climbing destinations. Some of her favorite climbing destinations include Red Rocks, Hueco Tanks, the Gunks and the Red River Gorge. Her most notable ascents include Scare Tactics (V10) in Red Rocks and Snooker (5.13a) in the Red River Gorge.
Outside of climbing, Arabella’s interests include aerial silks, art, cooking, fishing and Ninja Warrior competitions.
If you won the lottery what’s the first thing you would do? Buy houses at all the climbing destinations, or go to a really expensive restaurant.
Do you have a spirit animal? Yes, it’s a panda.
What would you want for your last meal? A lot of sushi.
