Pat is an easily excitable 33 yr old paramedic living in Kamloops BC. When not obsessing over every minute detail when it comes to climbing, whether it be specific beta, skin care, shoe sizing and weather conditions, he spends his time ACTUALLY climbing. He spends most of his time clipping bolts at Roche Lake, a small granite crag 30 minutes from Kamloops, which boasts relatively cool temperatures in the summer. He frequently makes trips down to Squamish and Penticton to pursue similar endeavours on BC boulders and cliffs. Though he is most comfortable above a pad or a bolt, he has ventured out and climbed some naturally protected climbs, notably the Grand Wall and the immaculate Mt. Gimli in the Valhallas. At home you’ll find Pat spending time watching Netflix while drinking coffee or craft beer, while monitoring his blood sugar levels as he lacks the ability to produce insulin like the average individual. Rarely will you see him without a smile, so don’t be shy, approach him, and offer him a beer; please…he’ll be your best friend or at the very least treat, you to a laugh or ten!
Winter or Summer? I am such a sissy when it comes to cold weather, bring on the sun!
What’s in your fridge right now? Veggies, fruits, and delicious striploin steak!
