Ty has been climbing for Evolv now for 3 years and climbing most of his life. He has lived in many great climbing locations, from Alaska to Yosemite. His greatest climbing teacher by far was living in Yosemite, climbing meeting and making friends with some of the best, strangest, and most talented climbers ever. He owes inspiration most to Brain Spiewak and Brain Cork for opening up the climbing world to him.
Ty has mainly been working in the National Park Service after leaving the U.S. Marine Corps. He rode for Team Paul Mitchell Sports for a few years, pushing his XC Mountain Biking level which took him to many beautiful spots in the country and led him to pursue staying in the Outdoor Industry.
Ty is very much a traveler and has lived in all the Western States and some of the Eastern U.S. too. His roots are shallow and he is always looking for a new place to call home. He lives a very secluded life with his Triathlete wife Lisa and daughter Iris. They do many things together and educate their daughter on the importance of nature, the outdoors and the balance of the modern world.
Favorite pair of Evolvs? Addicts are hands down my favorite shoe so far. Great in any conditions and easy on and off. I’m Addicted
