Eva started climbing when she was eight years old after attending a summer camp. Soon after, she joined the competitive climbing team and to this day, continues to participate in youth competitions. Although she enjoys competing, she prefers to climb outdoors. Her favorite climbing spots are Smith Rock, Oregon, Bishop, California and Hueco Tanks, Texas. Her proudest achievements have been sending Ground Zero (5.12a) in Malibu State Park and Serengeti (V5) in Bishop. She is currently a senior at the Archer School for Girls in Los Angeles, and will be attending Colorado College in the fall of 2015. She plans to continue outdoor climbing in Colorado Springs, and has plans to visit Fontainebleau, France this summer.
Lifetime climbing goals? – One of my climbing goals is to send Heinous Cling, a sport climb in Smith Rock, Oregon. I have wanted to finish this climb for four years, and it would be incredibly self-gratifying to be able to complete the problem. My other climbing goal is to make it to SCS Nationals this year. Trying to balance my senior year at school and a training schedule has been challenging, but this season I am determined to push myself and make it to Atlanta in July.
