Description
The Urban Climber Magazine Editor's Choice Award winning Cruzers are minimalist performance casual shoes that live happily in the gray area between rock shoes and approach shoes. With a pair of Cruzers equipped with high friction TRAX rubber, you can scramble up granite slabs, or clip them on your harness when climbing a classic multi-pitch route and cruise down sketchy descents in comfort. You can kick back around the campfire in slipper mode or wash up and head out for a night on the town wearing your clean designer jeans in style.

Cruzers Rock!
OK, I admit it, I'm biased. I've been wearing Evolv shoes for a half dozen years now, and I won't wear anything else. So I don't know about all the great products other brands are developing. But I don't actually care; I found what I like (the Talons for steep sport and Bandits for everything else). I don't need to look further. But, at times I may have become complacent (hence my failure to write reviews of the products I use). But no more. I am SO excited about my new Cruzers that I have to tell you all about them. First of all, they are red. Rad. I can wear them to all-night dance parties or out to casual dinners, look stylish and be comfortable. Second, they are the best approach shoes I've ever owned, and in years past I've had many pairs from Five Tennies to Nikes. All those shoes were fine, but the Cruzers are better. I didn't even have to break them in; they immediately felt super comfy, a cross between slippers and my favorite old tennies, but with the cushioning intact. Third, they are terrific scramblers, awesome for third-class approaches and easy scrambling. There's no slippage. Fourth, they fit my foot perfectly. I actually prefer wearing them without socks because I can feel the rock better that I'm scrambling over. The only downfall to this rad shoe is that they are not super burly, and because I wear them every day, all the time, they aren't going to last long. But they are affordable as well, so when this pair wears out (and if Evolv stops giving me shoes), I'm a lifer and will just buy another pair. Thanks Evolv. Pics to come!
