In order to keep climbing shoes from smelling is by taking care of your shoes fresh out of the box. After each session, be sure to let your shoe air dry and do not put it in an enclosed space like a backpack or bag while wet. Moisture creates bacteria which results in smelly shoes. Also invest in charcoal shoe inserts to help absorb moisture and decrease bad odor.

We do not recommend any sort of home remedies to stretch shoes such as, microwaving, showering with the shoes on, or baking your shoes. Please visit Yosemite bum resole for a proper stretch. Stretching is a free service, shipping not included.
At the present time, we do not offer the option to exchange products. Therefore, you have to follow the returns procedure steps in order to receive a refund by visiting returns page. You will then have to place a new order.
Items purchased from the official Evolv online shop may be returned free of charge by the carrier UPS only within 30 days from the date of purchase. All other types of shipment will be paid by the purchaser. Returned products must be in the same condition in which they were received: intact and unused (including labels and the original packaging).
After we have received the returned product in the ways and under the conditions specified on the return page, the amount paid will be credited to the original payment method within 30 days of receipt of the returned product to our warehouse.

Both synthetic and leather material will stretch. The difference is that synthetic will stretch when heated with natural body temperature but will shrink once it has cooled down because it has elasticity. The benefit to that is maintaining the aggressive and performance feel without losing the structural integrity of the shoe over time. Unlike synthetic, real leather will continuously stretch over time with proper use with the upside of having more of a comfortable fit once the shoes have been broken in.
An approach shoe is a type of light hiking shoe with sticky climbing rubber compound as the outsole. The sticky rubber compound has a higher friction outsole that will perform greatly on all type of terrain. Giving you the confidence to scramble between rocks and up steep terrain without the fear of slipping. Make sure you size them properly when you first buy them. If they don?t stretch, you can send them into Yosemite bum resole for stretch.
The key to breaking in climbing shoes is to wear them. With a little heat and sweat, the shoe will naturally stretch and mold to you foot. Normal time to break in shoes will determine on shoe brand and model. Evolv Shoes will generally take about 2-3 weeks to break in, depending on how often you climb.
The longevity of a climbing shoe will vary from brand and model. It also vary from the kind of rock or plastic that is climbed on. Generally it can last as short as 3-5 months to 2 years.

The size you need for rock climbing will vary by brand. For Evolv, we size our shoes by the US street shoe size. Which means, the performance fit is best fitted at your street shoe size. For a slightly more comfortable fit, it is recommended to go half size up.
A proper climbing shoe fit requires your toes to be slightly bent but not completely curled. The feeling will initially be uncomfortable but not unbearable. Leather shoes tend to stretch more than synthetic leather. For Evolv sizing is based on US street shoe size
Depending on the style of climbing will determine the tightness or “aggressiveness” of your shoe. Generally, climbers on long routes such as multi-pitch, trad, and crack climbs, prefer a comfortable fit.

Climbing shoes should generally fit snug with toes curled for the best performance. It may feel uncomfortable at first but will feel better over time.

After the carrier has taken delivery we cannot change the delivery address. We can do that only after the carrier contacts us owing to an uncompleted delivery. You can change the address and delivery time at any time by registering with MYUPSCHOICE. Directly with UPS.
After the order is made, we will send you a confirmation via email. It will contain the tracking number that you can enter together with your email address on the order tracking page so you can check the status and position of your order. In order to receive an invoice, you must make sure that you specified that you are a company and not a private customer during the purchasing process.
